Volunteers

You can MAKE A DIFFERENCE!  Become an ACTIVE Member!

Our Mission Statement says it all:

To be a champion of local and national legislation that benefits our military community. To perpetuate the traditions of the American Military by providing camaraderie among our members, providing support for veterans, and by mentoring young men and women in the community to become America’s future military leaders.  To be a trusted counselor for our surviving spouses.

Over the years our members have volunteered to manage our community programs. Without these volunteers, we would not have an outstanding 5-Star Chapter. Our Chapter is fortunate to have skilled members who have acquired much experience over the years of their military careers. As officers, they were responsible for men, ships, airplanes, and programs. As an officer you have considerable experience and we invite you to share your knowledge and creative abilities by being more than just a member who attends our events, become active in the Leadership of our Chapter!  Help plan the events, become a committee member, volunteer to be on the Executive Board.  We always need talented people to give us a hand and maintain our 5-Star Level of Excellence.

VIPMOAA can benefit from your expertise if you:

  • Become a member of the Executive Board
  • Work on the JROTC/ROTC Program
  • Assist those who have recently lost their spouse
  • Work on legislative issues
  • Participate in contacting congressional members both state and federal levels
  • Work on planning events for the Chapter monthly meetings
  • Become an Officer-in-Training for Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President and President
  • Work on the Communications Committee by providing news media with stories about our chapter
  • Work on the Membership Chair to help recruit and retain members
  • Work on the Community Affairs Committee reaching out to compatible organizations
