VIPMOAA Application 2024

Membership

The Virginia Peninsula chapter of MOAA (VIPMOAA) invites all peninsula officers to join us – active duty, Reserve, Guard, retired, and veteran officers - commissioned & warrant officers - of any rank and any branch of service including Public Health and NOAA.  Widows & widowers of deceased officers may join as a Surviving Spouse member.  Associate members are those who have contributed significantly to the Armed Forces of the USA but are not commissioned officers.  Most VIPMOAA members live in Williamsburg, Charles City County, Yorktown, Hampton & Newport News.  We also have members in Mathews, Hayes, Ark, Gloucester, James City County, Poquoson and elsewhere.  Military installations include Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Yorktown Naval Weapons and multiple Coast Guard Stations.

Our dynamic 5-star chapter, in operation for 40+ years, offers activities for all interests:

Advocate with state and national legislators on issues of importance to Virginia veterans, retirees and actively serving military, their families and survivors.
Publishes newsletters with articles of interest to local officers and their families.
Present ROTC & JROTC awards to local college and high school students.
Enjoy dynamic, interesting programs at Membership meetings.
Assist with Honor Flight, Virginia Wounded Warrior Program and other community endeavors.

Our chapter encourages members to maintain both national and chapter membership to benefit fully from MOAA, at local, state and national levels. Dual membership also helps our chapter maintain it's Five-Star Level of Excellence rating with MOAA.
