Volunteer Opportunities

VIPMOAA receives many generous donations from our members for our community service/scholarship fund through the year.  Several of our recipients organizations offer volunteer opportunities which may interest you.

  • Liberty Lounge, located just off Duke of Gloucester Street in the heart of the Historic Area, offers a quiet, comfortable place for ticketed active duty, veteran, and retired military and their families to relax during their visit. Since opening in spring 2016, they’ve welcomed more than 200,000 service members and their families. There are a number of places in Colonial Williamsburg where you can volunteer your time. The lounge is a very rewarding place where you can meet many military families and help them to maximize their visit and enjoy the Colonial city.  To volunteer, please contact Joe Garcia, Supervisor of Historic Interpretation at jgarcia@CWF.org or 757.565.8824. Thomas Sliworski, Secretary of the Executive Board, enjoys his volunteer work at Liberty Lounge and would be happy to answer any questions. Tom can be reached at bsce78@gmail.com or 540-448-3939.
  • USO at Langley AFB, Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF), and Fort Eustis. Please contact Kristin Celiceo at kceliceo@uso.org. Frank Dunn has been volunteering since 2021 and would be happy to answer any questions. He can be reached at 757-580-6708 or ftdunn@cox.net.
